The Black Rock City Department of Mobility provides mobility services to long and short term disabled burners who might otherwise have difficulty traveling to the far reaches of Black Rock City (Burning Man, for those unfamiliar with BRC).
This theme camp is not officially funded, so it ends up being mostly funded out of the unfortunately somewhat shallow pockets of Wayne Merchant himself (the camp's organizer/main contributor). Wayne is working on some fund raising efforts, and since we will be camping with him this year, as well as assisting in the mobility services provided by the camp, we would like to help in those efforts.
Any and all donations are appreciated, and for a donation $20 or more, Wayne has some nifty BRC DOM logo t-shirts (see pictures below) - organic cotton, nice stuff! If planning on donating $20 or more and getting your shirt, please be sure to include your shirt size when making your donation using the paypal button above. You do not have to have a paypal account to donate! You can use almost any credit/debit card as well.
100% of all donations (minus paypal fees) will be used for the support of the BRC DOM camp.
In addition to monetary donations, the camp is also in need of manual wheelchairs for those with fresh injuries (i.e. injuries so fresh planning for playa transport wasn't an option). If you have one you're willing to part with, contact me (Wendi) directly.
